you walk down a street.
you step over needles. you step over shit.
you step into a fine dining establishment.
you can order a $9 IPA that the bartender recommends.
here, everyone is a bartender.
everyone is young. everyone is so distant.
there are ugly cars, too many street signs, and a city that is cramped and small.
you’ll see the same faces over and over again, until they leave.
a large portion of downtown is just lawless. understandable.
there’s no desire to fix things.
that’s just how things are here.
we have incredibly wealthy people.
we have incredibly poor people.
they live less than a block from eachother.
